Commercial manufacturers combine pigments with carriers such as ethyl alcohol or distilled water to create liquid inks These may include preservatives to reduce the risk of contamination and other additives to regulate the viscosity of the ink
Pigments and preservatives in some  ink can cause skin allergies. We at Skin City encourage the use of hypo-allergenic inks that are made from natural and wont upset the skin . Two of our favorites are Eternal Ink , and Mom’s Millennium.
